This wonderful designed apartment is located on the first floor of a Florentine 'palazzo' from the 1400's, and looks onto the characteristic 'Piazza della Passera'. It is conveniently located 200 metres from the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and set amongst a labyrinth of enticing little cobblestone streets full of bars, little trattorias, restaurants, antique dealers, art schools and the world famous 'artisans'.

Craftsmen that carry on old traditions, passed down through generations. Crafts such as shoe making, leather work, hand made paper, jewellery, wooden carving, marble mosaic work, sculpture, gold gilding and more can all be seen wandering around this area called the 'Oltrarno'.

Here you have very easy access to everything to see in Florence, you are a 5-10 min walk from almst everything, the Duomo, Uffizi museum, all of the best restaurants and shopping that Florence has to offer.

The apartment is nice and light, it looks over the Piazza della Passera and neighbouring rooftops. It is very elegant and has been restored with care and furnished with taste and style, with the owner selecting not only her own personal pieces but additional hand selected antiques and collections pieces. The end result is rich and decadent, quite eclectic and very warm with colours and textures, carvings and mosaic.... a mix of wonderful pieces to create a charming atmosphere for your Florence vacation.

This spacious first floor apartment measures 100 metres and is accessible via a short flight of affrescoed steps. The frescoes ' trompe d'oeil' frescoes were done by the famous artist Carlo Capanni. The entrance is used only by the clients renting the Apartment Eleganza and the owner who lives upstairs. The apartment maintains many original features, the wooden doors are from the 1700's and the tuscan stone from the 1400's.

The entrance at the top of the stairs, itself also affrescoed with delicate colours, leads into the grand entry 'sala' the formal dining room which measures 35 sq mts. The ceilings area a typical italian style 'cassone' which means it has the exposed beams that are inlaid to form 'boxes', maybe more known as 'coffers'. It is very elegant and common to many important residences in the city. In this room there are two large windows dressed in lovely silk floor to ceiling curtains, original terracotta 'cotto' floors and a very large dining table designed by 'Willy Rizzo' ( in crystal, black laquer and brass ). There is a beautiful black and gold sideboard that holds all of the hand chosen dinner ware. Many lovely paintings and objects of art are scattered through the entire apartment. From the dining room you enter through 2 original wooden doors from the 1700's into the living room.

The living room features the same high coffered ceiling and parqueted floors, it is very light and airy and has two lovely windows. Elegant furnishings with two white leather lounges, a plexiglass coffe table and a large library covering one entire wall full of books, all at your disposition. Here there is a large flatscreen TV, SKY channels and a massage chair, perfect after a day of sightseeing in Florence!
The matrimonial bedroom also feautures wooden flooring and coffered ceilings,a custom made bed, writing desk and other hand selected decorations.

The eat in kitchen has everything to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. It is welcoming, functional and well designed with important cupboard space being disciused with a creative 'trompe d'oleil' stripe making sure everything blends in with the wall design. The stove top is positioned under the large original 'cappa' from the 1400's which is where they would have had the fireplace for cooking. The artist 'Willy Rizzo' has also designed the kitchen table which is perfect for 4 people. There is a small fridge, washing machine, coffee machine, cupboard with utensils, pots and pans etc.

Through another original wooden door you enter into the charming bathroom, also here nothing has been forgotten and every part hand selected with great style to create another wonderful room. Parquet floors, silk covered walls, affrescoed ceiling and a large mosaiced shower with crystal doors.
